The Artemisia Trail from Old Faithful gives you the best of two worlds! Explore the geysers and hot springs of the Upper Geyser Basin before departing the paved paths and heading into the backcountry. This trail is 2.4 miles (3.9 kilometres long) one way, and we generally try and time it so that you can see one of Castle Geyser, Daisy Geyser or Riverside Geyser erupting. These are three of the five geysers in Yellowstone's Upper Geyser Basin which have their eruption times predicted. Departing from Old Faithful, we will pass many geysers and hot springs, including Grotto Geyser and Spa Geyser in addition to the three mentioned above, on the way to Morning Glory Pool. After checking out Morning Glory, we'll get to enjoy Yellowstone's wilderness on the Artemisia Trail, passing a good number of other thermal features, including Artemisia Geyser itself. At the end of the Artemisia Trail you guide will drive you back to Old Faithful or West Yellowstone, depending on where you met us earlier. Please take a look at the two videos we have of this hike.
